Tony Romo Biography

Antonio Ramiro Romo professionally named Tony Romo is a former American football quarterback. He played with the Dallas Cowboys for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in the year 2003 and then playing with the team during the 2006 season. Starting his football journey with the Burlington High School, he then played for the Eastern Illinois University. He then retired from football after the 2016 season when a preseason back injury caused him to lose his starting position to back up Dak Prescott. Upon retiring, he was hired by CBS Sports to become the lead color analyst for their NFL telecasts, teaming with Jim Nantz in the broadcast booth. His 97.1 passer rating is the highest among retired players. He celebrated his 40th birthday as of 2020 and he will be celebrating his 41st birthday as of 21st April 1980.
