Ronald Acuna is a professional baseball outfielder from Venezuela whose real name goes by Ronald Jose Acuna Blanco Jr. He is playing for the current team, Atlanta Braves of the Major League Baseball (MLB). In April 2019, he had signed an 8-year contract extension with the team that was worth USD 100 million, and that made him the youngest player in baseball history to sign a contract worth at least USD 100 million. This was also the largest deal signed by any player in history with less than a year of major league service. He was signed as an international free agent in July 2014 by the Atlanta Braves and played in several minor league tournaments over the next 4 years. In the year 2018, he made his MLB debut as well as he won the National League Rookie of the Year Award. Additionally, he was named an MLB All-Star. Not only this he has also won his very first Silver Slugger Award in 2019. His performances were even more stellar in 2019 as he was selected for the MLB's annual "All-Star Game", named to the "All-MLB Second Team", and was the National League's "stolen base" leader.
