Pierre-Emerick Emiliano Francois famed as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a professional French-Gabonese footballer who is playing for the current team, Arsenal and Gabon National Team. He is the captain of both Premier League club Arsenal and the Gabon national team. His playing position is forward. He began his senior club career playing for Italian club A.C. Milan, but never appeared for the club as he went on a series of loan spells in France. In 2011, he started playing with Saint-Etienne. Later, he won a Coupe de la Ligue title and joined Borussia Dortmund in the year 2013. He finished as the league's top goalscorer in the 2016-2017 season and won a DFB-Pokal in 2013. He was the subject of a club-record association football transfer when signed for Arsenal in a transfer worth £56 million (€60 million), making him the most expensive Gabonese player of all time. He made his senior debut for the national team in 2009 aged 19 and appeared in three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, as well as the 2012 Summer Olympics. For his impressive performance at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nation, he was named "African Footballer of the Year", making him the first Gabonese player to win the award and the 2nd European-born player next to Frederic Kanoute.
