A Cuban American mixed martial artist competing in the UFC's welterweight division is named for Jorge Masvidal who is the current and inaugural UFC BMF Champions. Moreover, he has competed for Bellator, Strikeforce, Shark Fights, and World Victory Road. He holds the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history, at 5 seconds. As of 8th July 2019, he is #3 in the UFC welterweight rankings. Overall, he is a very talented fighter. He is 2019's "Fighter of the Year," "Knockout of the Year" and "Comeback Fighter of the Year." Masvidal needs to heal hand injuries but says he would fight in December if Colby Covington or Kamaru Usman withdraw. He called President Donald Trump a "bad motherf---er" before defeating Nate Diaz at UFC 244. Trump was in the crowd for the event at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and he later congratulated Masvidal for the victory on Twitter.
