Emerson Palmieri

Emerson Palmieri, nicknamed as 'Emer' is a professional footballer. He is playing for the current team, Chelsea and the Italy national team. His playing position is left-back but he has been deployed as a left wing-back and a left midfielder on occasion. He plays by wearing shirt number/jersey number of 33 for Premier League club, Chelsea. He started his youth career at the local club Santos in 2009 at the age of fifteen. He made his debut in the first team in 2011, when he substituted Keirrison versus Paulista for the Campeonato Paulista. In 2018 he surprisingly joined the English side Chelsea and signed a four-and-half-year deal at Stamford Bridge. The transfer fee involved was 20 Million Euro. Since then, he is playing for this team. Talking about his international gameplay, he started playing for his native Brazil at under-17 level, but he later represents Italy, having been granted Italian citizenship in 2017. He made his senior international debut with the Italy side in 2018. Overall, he is a brilliant football player with amazing crossing ability.
