An American actress and singer is named for Amber Riley who is famous for portraying the role of Mercedes Jones on the "Fox" comedy-drama series Glee (2009-2015), for which she won a Screen Actors Guild Award, and has been nominated for three Teen Choice Awards, three NAACP Image Awards, and a Grammy Award. Moreover, she is also an author and activist. Additionally, she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2017 for her role in "Dreamgirls". In 2013, she also won season 17 of "Dancing with the Stars" where she partnered with Derek Hough. She also formed a musical theatre supergroup with Beverley Knight and Cassidy Janson named as "Leading Ladies" signing to East West Records. The theatre group also released their debut album "Songs from the Stage". At present, she is working on a debut solo studio album.
